I use a 22 on my single rig (DR 1st stage) and have no problems with the length. I like a 24 for my doubles as I use it off the left post. (Primary on right post - backup on left). In my single rig I usually clip the SPG to the chest d-ring and with doubles w/stage go to the hip.
