Dan over at Ocean State Scuba in Jamestown is a good person to talk to about it. He spends a ton of time spearfishing so he knows what he is talking about, and I know he was really trying to push an underwater hunting class he was doing last summer.

Narragansett Pier Dive Shop in Narragansett also really seems to cater to the speargun crowd. They host tournaments and occasionally speakers on the topic.

Are those competitions free or on air..or both? i would definitely be interested in an underwater hunting class
