I love diving Hollywood and Dania Beach, I feel there is a more defined ledge and more diversity of life. I moved to South County so that I'd be close to my favorite beach dives! At one time I too was equal distance to either.

You will find more people here will tell you that LBTS is better, but I urge you to see for yourself. Since they are both equal distance you can simply split your time!

Don't overlook diving off the beach just north of Sunrise Boulevard. My kayak dive club dives off there, I was out there this morning and even after 27 years of beach diving, I still found it to be breathtaking. We were lobster scouting but I found myself just stopping and observing the beauty for a few minutes before moving on.

Bottom line: don't limit yourself to one beach, dive them all! The only thing to keep you from enjoying any Broward beach is the availability of parking.
