Photos from Jeju Island, Korea

On September 11, 2008 I met up with an old Korean friend and we spent 3 days diving off the southern coast of Jeju Island, Korea. We dove with Good Diver in the port city of Seogwipo.

They charged us 100,000 won (about $90 USD) per per per day for two dives. A full lunch at one of the local seafood restaurants was included. I will use Good Diver again in May when I return to Jeju Island.

We boarded a small fishing boat that took us out to Mun Island just outside of the port. Alternatively they took us out to a rock spire next to Mun Island.

The air temperatures were in the 90 degree F range. There was a defined thermocline with bottom temperatures a cool 70 degrees F. I used a 5mm wet suit, but would have been comfortable in a dry suit (except on the surface).
