XTX50 good ice diving reg or not
So I recently signed up for an ice diving class and was going over gear requirements with the LDS and told them I had the Apeks XTX50 with the XTX50 Octo. He gave me an odd response and a look of I'm not too keen on that setup. He then explained that sherwood is a much better brand for ice diving, but I could try with the XTX50. What does everyone on here think? I'm not asking if the Apeks is a good brand because I know it is I have been diving with these for a while now. But I have no experience ice diving, so not sure where to go on this one. Thanks for your advice.
