    Bonaire August 2009 photos

    just got back from our fifth trip to Bonaire

    had a great time as always.
    saw some really cool stuff.

    Those are great pictures Matt.
    Where was the yellowhead jawfish? I have never seen one, never mind one with a mouthful of eggs.
    Also, can you elaborate a bit on your camera setup. Any wet lenses or strobes?

    the jawfish was at the eden beach shore dive.
    they are everywhere there. and they are not very shy. he let me get really close.
    although I did have to sit there for about 20 minutes before I got the shot
    I wanted

    I use the canon g9 in ikelite housing with one ikelite ds51 strobe.
    in this shot i did use the inon m67 ucl -165 closeup.

    We stayed at Golden Reef both trips 4 and 5. Its nice and quiet.
    sometimes its too quiet.
    We have also stayed at Plaza which is also really nice but
    its quite a bit more expensive.
