Bonaire Trip report 8/14-22/04

Arrived in Bonaire on 8/14/04.
Started diving 8/15/04.
Did 26 dives ending on the 21st.
Left Bonaire on 8/22/04.

Now that's what I call a short report but I think I know what you mean. Where did you stay this time?

Hey Herman,

We stayed at Capt. Don's this time, but were rarely onsite, but for breakfast, to get more tanks, and to sleep. We did do one boat dive, which was a night dive to Carl's Hill on Klein.

I met Bruce Bowker from Carib Inn, also met Walter Stark..very nice guys. I may do some training with Walter on my next trip....not sure yet though. It's too early for PBD to kick in, but my next dive trip is in May and I'm already trying to think when im gonna dive next...this is not good.

I know the feeling. Walt is an interesting guy. One of these days I am going to do a rebreather dive with him just for the heck of it. We dove Carl's hill last July, nice dive. You might also want to get with Larry at Larry's Wildside Diving, that looks like fun. I guess I will head back in June/July next year but I am already starting to think about a Feb trip.

We dove with Larry again on the East side...his new boat is something else. We eyed up the Lighthouse on a couple days but as expected the waves were a little too much for us to attempt. If I shore dived in California on a regular basis I might of attempted it, but I DONT, so I didnt.

We did do Red Slave, but were dissappointed because there was no current, so we did the dive going North and exited just north of Chocogo.

Not sure when I'll be back to Bonaire...I think its time to branch out...Roatan in May and possible a live aboard for a week..where...not sure yet. :/

Was there the same time stayed at buddys but there were alot of people i knew that were at dons. Great diving.
