The Lee County Sheriff’s Office marine unit and Fort Myers Beach Coast Guard were called to the scene about 11 a.m. today of a diver who reportedly blacked out about 8 miles west of Sanibel.The diver, who later became conscious but was disoriented and in a lot of pain according to a report, was picked up by the sheriff’s marine unit and taken to Punta Rassa where he was then taken by ambulance to the hospital.
No other details are available at this time.
