From Diver found ashore after big sea search | Perth Now
A DIVER who sparked a big police search amid fears he had drowned in waters off Two Rocks has been discovered safe and well on the shore.

The diver was reported missing about 3.30pm when he failed to surface from the bottom of the ocean about four nautical miles from Two Rocks.

Four volunteer marine rescue vessels, water police and a police helicopter conducted a big air and sea search for more than two hours for the missing diver.

But the search was called off when it was discovered that the diver managed to swim more than 6km (3.7 miles) to shore, which he decided to do after losing sight of his boat.
