Maui snorkeler pulled from ocean in critical condition

By Star-Advertiser staff

A 45-year-old female tourist was taken to a hospital in critical condition today after she was pulled from the ocean in front of the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa while snorkeling, Maui fire officials said.

Other snorkelers brought the woman to shore and Maui firefighters were called at 1:30 p.m. They arrived to find Sheraton employees performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, fire officials said.
Fire officials did not immediately know where the woman is from, but said she is a visitor.

If this story is followed by the news, I will try to post updates.

Has there been any new news? I've searched but haven't found anything. I hope that means there is no fatality to report!

I have been looking, but nothing new, so yeah, I hope no news is good news.
