Scuba diver dies at Tweed Heads
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a scuba diver at Tweed Heads today.Emergency services were called to Duranbah Beach at around 3:40pm, after a woman got into difficulty whilst scuba diving off Little Cove with family members.
She was pulled from the water and first aid was administered until NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended.
They continued with CPR however the woman died at the scene.
She has been identified as a 52-year-old from Queensland.
Officers attached to Tweed Byron Detectives are conducting investigations into the woman’s death, which is not being treated as suspicious.
Her scuba diving tanks have been taken for scientific examination and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Sad to hear, I assume this is either a drift dive in the Tweed River or a dive right on high tide just inside the river.
