Luxemburger Wort - 60-year-old missing diver found dead

A 60-year-old man who went missing after a diving accident was tragically found dead by police divers on Sunday at Lake Upper Sure in the north of the country.
The incident happened in the morning although the exact time is not known, when two divers went out on an expedition together on the lake. Suddenly one of of them sank into the waters of the lake.

Rescue services with divers arrived at the scene at about 10am and began searching a 27 metre area. Frequent diver changes were required due to the large size and depth of the search zone.
At about 5pm the sad truth was discovered as the missing diver was found dead.
The lake is a favourite location for diver training, but it is also known for being difficult and where waters are very dark. It is almost impossible to see underwater at the location where the disappearance occurred.
