Diver fails to surface in Marlborough Sounds | Stuff.co.nz
A diver has failed to surface in the Marlborough Sounds, police say.
The man was diving in about 12 metres of water in the Queen Charlotte Sound on Monday morning.
The Express understands the man was clearing a boat mooring line at Momorangi Bay, near Picton.

A police dive squad is on its way to search for the man.
Tasman District Police communications manager Barbara Dunn said a friend of the man, who was onboard when the man dived down to clear the line, alerted police about noon. The dive squad was coming from Wellington and was expected to arrive at the scene about 4.30pm, she said.
Coastguard Marlborough president Dick Chapman said they were called to the scene by police at 12.15pm.
They were stood down at 2pm when police took control of the scene, Chapman said.
