A 52-year-old British diver, tragically lost his life in Dwejra Gozo, earlier this afternoon. The Police said that the incident took place at around 1.15pm, when the man was diving with a group of divers and he found himself in difficulty.
He was given first aid assistance from people on the scene, until a medical team arrived. He was unfortunately certified dead on site.
Police investigations are still ongoing and a Magisterial Inquiry has been appointed.
