I dive warm and shallow. 9.5 hours after my first dive, I've already done a few more, had something to eat and probably a few beers....

But hey, different stroke, I guess. More power to him.

Seeing as the other stories at this link are suspect, I would guess that this is more creative than real. Funny, though...
 
just compared both articles, and looks like it is part two of the story.
how tragic. Looks like David Shaw who found the remains of Deon Dreyer died
this week trying to recover his body.
 
Gear doesnt easilly decompose. Deon Dreyer had to have massive amount of gear to attempt a deep dive. If you read the first article, David Shaw was ascending for 9.5 hours. Cant do that on one AL 80 tank with a shorty on. And Deon Dreyer died while attempting a deep dive.
 
Looks like Don Shirley, one of the other divers involved in the recovery also landed in a recompression chamber. Talking about a recovery gone wrong.
