I had a fellow diver tell me that a diver died while diving the Oriskany? Is this true or just a rumor?

i havent heard anything...

that would be big news indeed here in Florida, so if it's true, we'll hear soon

the only death on the Oriskany so far was not dive-related, and it happened on the surface, after the diver had surfaced. a heart condition was the cause:

(that was back in August)

"OD",

What's the depth differential between the flight deck and the hangar deck floor?

the K

Flight Deck's at 135-7', Hangar Floor is at 165-170' - it all depends on which computer you're looking at.

There have been no deaths on Oriskany(knocking on wood), and DAN reports only one bent. The guy that died had dove Oriskany, and later had a heart attack coming in the Pass. The local news hyped it as an Oriskany death to get the headlines.

Ok that might have been the diver I was told about thanks.
