Diver Death in Haines Lake - October 23rd, 2011

Summary:​

36 year-old Steve Ford of Ajax went missing on Sunday October 23
rd after leaving to dive with friends.He was located in Haines Lake near Parry Sound on Tuesday October 25th by the OPP Search andRecovery Team.We are awaiting further information from the Coroner’s office.​

OUC Recommendations:​

Do not dive without a buddy.​

Inform a responsible person of your dive plans

There are some minor updates on other Ontario incidents as well.

The investigation is complete and it has been determined that Steve Ford's death was not a SCUBA-related incident. My condolences to his friends and family at this difficult time.

My daughter is your age now. I can't speak for your father, but whatever happens with me, I would want my daughter to get the most out of life and I would hope she would be an explorer too, in whatever world she wants to learn about.
