(Xinhua) - A 28-year old Swiss national died after she went scuba diving on this resort island this afternoon, police said.
Boracay police officials identified the victim as Martina Josefina Elsehner, who went on scuba diving with her friends at a diving spot in Manoc Manoc Village.
According to the victim's fiance Oliver Keller, he, along with Elsehner and three friends were on a diving spree when Elsehner complained of stomachache.
This prompted the group to suspend their activities and bring the victim to the Boracay District Hospital, where attending doctors later pronounced Elsehner dead.
Keller said he had requested for an autopsy so that he could not be suspected of foul play.
The victim's body has been laid in a nearby funeral home.
I have got to wonder if he really said it that way. An autopsy would be simply prudent, maybe even a second one once the boy is home.
Great news for vacation divers who cannot talk themselves into buying a personal CO tank tester!
>> Rent one for a week or longer here <<
Now let's see more CO readings in your trip reports, ok...??
