BBC News - Diver dies after expedition off Isle of Man coast

A diver has died after getting into difficulties off the southern coast of the Isle of Man.
The coastguard was called to the aid of the 51-year-old at 11:45 BST on Sunday near the Calf of Man.
The man was picked up from a dive craft by Port Erin's RNLI Lifeboat and taken Noble's hospital by ambulance.
A spokesman for Isle of Man police said they were treating the death as "unexplained".
The man, who was diving in a group, has not yet been named by police but is thought to be from the island.
An RNLI lifeboat had been on exercises in the area and responded immediately after receiving a May Day call.
"Once the location was heard, the crew rushed to give assistance," RNLI press officer Andrew Buchan said.
"The casualty was transferred to the Atlantic 85 lifeboat and was given CPR throughout the return trip to Port Erin jetty where the boat was met by ambulance personnel and coastguards," he said

A heart attack. The group had all the right equipment, all the emergency protocols, and responded quickly & correctly. The RNLI boat on a training exercise close by was a bonus, but there was nothing they could do. Sometimes $hit just happens.
