Diver's Death at Motril Port | Costa Tropical Gazette News

The two major workers unions, CCOO and UGT lament and condemn the death of a professional diver on the 14th of August whilst working in Motril Port. The diver, 43-year-old Jesús Relique from Cádiz, had been working on the construction of the new dock there. Jesús, who leaves behind two children, had been a professional diver for over a decade.
There are still no indications that the death might have been caused by negligence in the implementation of safety measures and the union representatives and the family of the deceased are waiting for the results of the autopsy.
According to Junta de Andalucía figures, this is the third work-related accident in the province so far this year.
