Tragic death of diver: Dover Lifeboat and air ambulance crews fought to save his life | Dover Express
A DIVER has died after coming into difficulties off the coast of Dover.
Dover Lifeboat was launched just before 10pm last night to a dive boat two miles from the harbour entrance. An unconscious male diver on board.
The man, aged in his 50s, was taken on to the lifeboat and given CPR by the crew.
They took him to the lifeboat station on Dover seafront and the air ambulance was called out to help try and resuscitate the man.

But he tragically died at the scene.
The Dover Lifeboat crew have offered their condolences to the man’s family and friends.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called by the Dover Coastguard at 10.13pm on Friday, August 22, after a diver, a man in his 50s, had died.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and officers will prepare a report for the coroner."
