I replaced the wrist seals on my OS drysuit with the Si-Tech silicone seals and the oval mounting ring system from Dive Right In. The silicone seals seem a LOT more forgiving than latex, which I never liked.
The actual installation for both ring sets took maybe 15 minutes, although i did have to cut a little material from the suit itself to get the rings in nice and tight, but now it's like something out of NASA. I guess doing it myself instead of sending the suit to NASA saved me about 15 billion dollars too.
I didn't do the neck seal since that was still ok. When it gives me trouble, it's getting a ring system too. On the neck installation, I'll look at it for a while and if the installation vibe is a little skewed, I'll send it to Steve Gamble to install. The wrists were really easy though. The silicone seals sure seem pretty indestructible. I also have the dry hand option with a fleece liner if I get into cold waters up north like Vero Beach.
My wife had a neck seal that got sticky a few years ago. Hasn't happened to her since. I just changed a set of wrist seals that got sticky suddenly. Never happened to me before. And no, I'm not using any of her perfumes or lotions...
