I just don't log dives
Two dives at Shackle on Saturday. Day started off with low overcast but it opened up to blue sunny skies between our first and second dives. Air temp about 62, water temp was 52 at surface, 46 below 40 feet. Visibility in upper water column was 5-10 feet, below 50 feet it really opened up to about 30+. Lots of inverts and rock fish. Great wall dive. the shackle.jpg

Went back to the Shackle on 7-14 for two more dives. The best diving this time of year definitely seems to be below 50 to 70 feet along the south wall, where we found an octopus, and along the north wall. With nitrox and a good surface interval both dives were accomplished in easy fashion. Great dives. The Bottom Time, I am finding, is a neat boat from which to dive. Plenty of room, attentive crew, and a really warm salon especially when the stove has been on for a while. Just what we need between and after the dives where water temp is about 45 degrees.
