Question Pull Loop On Steel Springs

In preparation for her second dive yesterday in Cozumel, my wife pulled on one of the fin straps and the rubber loop broke. The springs are still fine but I will need to get a replacement pull loop. Her fins have less than 20 dives I'm pretty sure.

Has anyone else had this problem and are there replacement loops available?

Thanks,
