I have seen the Glacia hoses but have not looked at them closely. Is the heat sink in the middle of the hose crimped onto the hose or is there a coupling on each end of the hose the threads onto the heat sink, like the female end of the reg hose on one side and the male end of the reg on the othere.
If the connectors are just the standard female reg hose connector and the male reg connector you could get 2 short hoses of the leangth you need and put the heat sink in the middle of them.

Changing the hoses to braided should not affect the warranty, you MAY lose some of the anti-freeze protection but unless you are diving in almost freezing water it should not make any difference. Many regs that are designed for cold water use do not have a heat sink in the hose.

EricM.,
You will not void your warranty by using a braided Aqua Lung hose. The heat exchanger is an added feature to warm the air using surface area. Like Claymore stated above this is not required unless diving in extreme conditions. The hose however can not be taken apart. Should you need further assistance please feel free to contact me. happy and safe diving.
