Nothing nearly as exciting as all the spearfishing talk going on around here. However, I was looking for someone who had info on diving for Scallops, particularly around the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland. I'm not looking to steal that prized and secret location that you and only you know about, just looking for info on licensing and seasons etc.

Any help much appreciated!
 
contact the fisheries in newfoundland and they should be able to tell you if there is a season and how much the cost would be for a license. here in new brunswick the cost is 11.50 for a recreational scallop license.,
