Just out of curiousity,

%-tage of openwater divers to advance openwater
%-tage of advance openwater to rescue/EFR
%-tage of rescue/EFR diver to divemaster and/or master scuba diver
%-tage od divemaster to instructors and/or assistant instructor
%- of instructors to course director.

Anyone has the information or sources where I can get them?

Thanks and ciao,

I am suprised that the world of scuba is not a little more regulated.

But if it was it would probably be stifling.

The problem with this type of sport is that there are risks involved, and to nondivers it can seem like a very dangerous sport. Any regulation would probably kill off things like solodiving.

To answer the main question PADI has something similar on its website - http://www.padi.com/english/common/padi/statistics/

Yea, that is true. I guess what I ment by that is like one agency per country or manybe one world wide that used the same traning syllubus, program and books.
I see no reason for it.

We manage to put pretty safe pilots in the air without doing that and the stakes are considerably higher.
