Don't know if he reads this forum or not, but someone here might know:
The cover of his Dress for Success book has "Part I" on it. Anyone know if he is working on a part 2, and what it is going to cover? The first one was great, whatever the second is about, I want it.
Thanks.

Send him an email and ask:

dan@northerntechdiver.com

(Then let us know).

I assume that GUE is working on parts 2, etc, but not necessarily Dan specifically.

I would also bet that part 2 is basic skills...

Just for everyone's information, I did send him an email and this was the response:

"Hi Jason,

Glad that you enjoyed the book. One of the great glaring holes that I have always thought the GUE has always had in it's curriculum is the lack of useable training material, some thing that we are trying to address as a group. Dress for Success is indeed as you surmised, Part I of a series. The next one (I am not sure of the name yet but am leaning towards The Fundamentals of Diving Part II - Mind and Body) deals with the physical and mental skills required for diving at the Fundamental Level. It really will be a reference book for the Fundamentals course which give away the keys to the kingdom in simple terms and explanations. Much like the equipment book did for equipment the skill book will do for skills. I have it mostly written now so I expect that it will be available by Christmas. It will be about 200 pages, same format as before with a DVD.

Safe dives, "

Excellent!

Dan truly is an asset to GUE and the sport as a whole. I feel lucky enough to be within driving distance and plan to take a class from him in the future.

Great instructor too. I thoroughly enjoyed my Fundamentals last month with him.
except maybe for the video review.

Ooh, I'd love to see that! :D Who knows - maybe someone will surreptitiously slip it onto some website somewhere! :eyebrow:
