I know that the dive buddy and dive team aspects of a dive are highly stressed in DIR, but I was wondering what the take is on diving with a three man team? Some people/agencies frown on a 3 man team, and like there to be an even number, 2-4-6 etc. So it it anti-DIR to dive in a 3 person team?
Thanks.

No, it's not anti-DIR.

DIR encourages diving in a 3-man team, for various reasons. It does require a higher level of planning and communciation, but it's certainly encouraged.

That is what I thought, but wasn't sure. Thank you

When I took DIR-F a month ago, the 6 person class was broken into 2x 3-man teams. It definitely made poor planning and poor communication much more apparant. A 3-man team is more difficult than 2, so it's good skills to learn.
