switch on posiedon regulator

I recently inherited a posiedon jet stream regulator. How do you correctly use the +/- switch on the side of the regulator? :06:

Leave it on + when diving and storing it. Leave it on - just when you want to help stop free flows at the surface. It just move a little plastic piece over that puts a little pressure on the diaphragm, making it less sensative.

Scubatoys is correct. In the - position on the surface and in the + position during the dive.
