I was, as a new member, editing my profile and was shocked to find that SSAC Scottish Sub Aqua Club, probably one of the safest agencies in the world, is not on the forums list of agencies.

Ugh!!!!

That's a new one to me too. Judging from a quick scan of the website it looks a lot like the BSAC. Is the training CMAS based or home-grown?

Its far from new. The syllabus is similar to the BSAC training and is afaik fully CMAS accredited.

Must admit i was a bit surprised it wasnt on there.

Shocked? Just wait.

Of course, then again, you guys eat Haggis.

That's pretty shocking.

It's prolly not listed just because it's one of the safest agencies in the world. No one likes to bash the safe agencies.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! And I tried to get GOOGLE to translate that to Scottish, but the closest I came was:

HOWDIE, n., v. Also howdy , houdie, -y; how-dey n. 1. A midwife, formerly applied to an untrained woman who also performed other kinds of sick nursing. Gen.Sc. also found in n.Eng. dials.

That aint right.... Okay, I'll just translate "Have a nice dive" in Scottish....

Sorry, no exact matches were found for your query for "have a nice SCUBA dive", in Dictionary of the Scottish Language where words are often spelled differently from English equivalents. Either way, dress warmly, Scottish watter is a bit like wynter yce.

How do you say SSAC, anyway... Esssak or is it Sssssak?

Shocking. Utterly shocking. ;)

Tech Admin added SSAC today. Be the first to put a check mark by it. :D

You might go to this thread and provide information for adding SAA...? http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=107966
