I am considering using double steel HP 80's (buoyancy -2.5 empty, -8.5 full) with a 40 lb lift Deep Outdoors BC -- not sure about the model. It is definitely wide enough to accomodate doubles, but instructions say "single tank". I calculated that with an aluminum backplate I will need 18 lb of lead to be properly trimmed.

On the second thought, I may be wrong. What is the minimum width of the wings' middle section to accomodate doubles, lest the wings have no room to inflate?

If the instructions say single tank what makes you think that it's definitely wide enough for doubles?

I took back "definitely". It looks wide enough, but looks can be deceiving.
