I've finally figured out what I want for Christmas (well, sort of)...and I could use some help deciding the best options. I want to get an UW camera and housing. I have been reading on here and most people seem to favor a land camera with a housing (Ikelite or otherwise). My question is this...trying to stay around 700 or so (less if possible) what would be good choices for cameras and housings? I have no experience with serious photography and can't imagine I would get too serious with it anytime soon. I don't mind a point and click as long as it will get the pics I want. I'm open to suggestions and advice on any and all aspects of this question. I'm so confused I don't know where to begin...

Thanks! Julie

Hi. You should read posts in the UW Photography forum. There are lots of threads that address this. This forum is to buy and sell photo gear. Try going to:

http://www.scubaboard.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3

There are a few others asking the same questions. Why don't you look at the thread:

http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=110215

and see if that can get you started.

Good luck.
