Try the Dixie Divers Forum(Goto North America, then to the United States forums to gain access to the Dixie Divers forum) for information from people who've been there... I've yet to dive that site, infact, the only quarry I've dove thus far was at Rock Divers near Huntsville, AL.

Here's there website http://www.divealabama.com/

The website states Nitrox fills are $12 and up, I can't comment on how up to date that information is though...

Blue Water is a great place to go. But I haven't dived there in about 7 years.

send a PM to SteelSlinger as he's a B'ham instructor and dives there often. He's a good resource for asking for questions about Blue Water.

I will say that quarry is C-O-L-D. I don't think it ever warms up. It's also got
some good deep spots if you are doing AOW traingin

Since you're taking students, maybe these are checkout dives for open-water.
With gas at $3.27/gallon, you do have two quarries that are much closer.
Marthas Quarry outside Nashville, and Madison Aquatic Park near Huntsville.
(just another option).

BTW... the Deep Dixie Divers group that Matt mentioned is a good place to ask
questions about quarries in Alabama.
