I've noticed a lot of talk about Breath Holding, and questions concerning how to improve one's time holding a single breath of oxygen. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it's one of the main topics in a freediving forum.

I just wanted to share this little piece of knowledge I came across while looking for information on improving the apnea. The exercises given have helped quite a bit, extending my simple apnea time to--currently--3 minutes 25 seconds.

I'm still wondering if a few of the exercises aren't merely a type of placebo in order to instill confidence in the practioner, thus increasing hold times. But, either/or, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Lots of other good stuff for a beginning diver too! It's proved very informative, and not so indepth as to be a detailed, technical and hard to swallow sort of read.
