Good shore dives

Could anyone direct me to some good shore diving sites. Tampa/St. Pete area would be awesome (maybe an hour north or south max!) Traveling down next weekend and wanted some shore diving - free? crowds?? Thanks.

You can try Mollasses Barge @ Bradenton Beach across from "SEA TREK" dive shop, or Spanish Rocks @ Holmes Beach (Just North of Bradenton Beach)Ask for directions at dive shop. Both these sites tend to be alittle Iffy on VIS so Hope for a light breeze headed from land out to the Gulf.

If weather isn't in your favor, travel further South to Venice Beach as there will be a number of dives this weekend(Check Board)Sat.am pm & Sun am
Venice Beach is alittle outside of your hour drive(about an hour and 20 min but that is about it in Tampa area for Beach dives(lots of boats in pinellas county, but they aren't free)

Crystal river /Kings Bay is about an 1 1/2 hours North on Hwy 19(Spring 70-72 degrees)
Also many a cave to dive in area but they tend to be a bit silty in Tampa area(Highly dangerous and require cave training)
