So what's with the hammerheadscuba web site?

When I try to access www.hammerheadscuba.com, I get "Another affordable, high-speed website hosted by <deleted>.com Web Services is ready to move-in!" I get this with Mozilla, IE and even using a US based proxy server, just to be sure it wasn't a traffic reroute.

Anyone know what happened to them?

Probably and old site.

Have been trying to access the site for 2 days already. I can get into their home page, pricing page, and AL BP page...................for the rest................impossible.

I think someone may have grabbed their domain and is now trying to sell it.

That is my guess too, which is too bad as there is no way to get it back.

It went down Thursday. It was ironic because I had just got done telling them that they had different prices between the S&W site and the Hammerhead site. They said that they would correct the S&W site when the HH2 went down.
Kudos to Mary at S&W. I ordered a BP and STA at 11:45 Thursday and had it in my hands 12:28 on Friday. Can't ask for faster sevice than that.

Has to be a little more complex than that -- it's actually pretty hard to let a domain expire. If you let it run out (you ignore the notices from your registrar), it stops working, but you still have 40 days to pay the normal fee. Then, it goes into "redemption" for 30 days, where you have to pay a little more, but you can still get it back. Then it goes into "deletion" -- and you still have 5 days to get it back.

Only then is it really open-market.

They've still got three days before they even hit the first expiration; something else is going on. Perhaps they're dropping the brand identity, perhaps there's a glitch in the namerserver propagation....
