I had the pleasure of diving a nice "new" wreck off Pt. Traverse in Lake Ontario on the weekend. The folks at Ducks were kind enough to share coordinates with me (after swearing me to secrecy...!)

She is the "Katie Eccles" an intact schooner in about 105' not far from the Annie Falconer... well, OK, it's pretty far, but I've got a fast boat! Bowsprit, anchors, rigging etc. Locals will know of this wreck I suppose, but it's a nice wee dive (I managed to kill 40 minutes before I'd had my fill...) In spite of the earlier rain, viz at the bottom was about 60'

On the down side, my previous favourite in those parts, the AE Rae is toast. My guess is something large opened her up with an anchor. Too bad, it had been a pretty wreck...

Book a charter through Ducks Diving... tell them I sent ya!
