did a search on google...still looking for a good web site that would let me look up the tide for Stonington, Ct.

Depending on what OS you run there are a bunch of freeware tide prediction software packages out there. They can predict the tides at thousands of locations all around the world.

For Macintosh there is "Mr. Tides":

And for UNIX there is XTide:

Of course, if someone has done all the work and put a site up on the internet, that's even easier. :wink:

Dean Pentcheff has done a nice job putting an easy to use web interface on a server running Xtide. The link I provided above, http://tbone.biol.sc.edu/tide/tides...on,+Fishers+Island+Sound,+Connecticut&units=f , is for Stonington, Ct. on Fishers Island Sound.

The tbone.biol.sc.edu site also has some options for making a nice monthly calendar of high and low tide times and heights, with options to add things like sunrise/set and moonrise/set.
