Niue Island

Can any of the members provide me with info in regards to the diving on Niue Island.
I read a little about it on a website, but would prefer some feedback from someone that may have dived there.

add another interested party.
We're planning a trip to Fiji in October and am trying to decide on a second destination. Went to the Cooks last year and may return but am also looking at Vanuatu.
Thought about Niue and it's still a possibility if we could get some good recommendations.

Has anybody been there?

I also read a brief blurb in Undercurrent that the whole island was wrecked by a typhoon this year. Any information on that?
