So I have seen a few responses to posts listed as a troll, also a few of the groups are "No troll areas". But what does it mean?

I don't think I "troll" but I don't know without knowing what it is.

Thanks,

John

According to wikipedia (a great place to look this kind of stuff up): "In the context of the World Wide Web, a troll is a person who posts inflammatory messages intended to cause a disruption. The word is also often used to describe such messages."

Geez, don't listen to this guy!

From the Urban Dictionary:

Troll:

One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument

Did you hear the swoosh, Neil?

R..

I would classify him more of a troublemaker than a troll. He causes minimal disruption, not maximum

at least I don't promote dangerous behavior

Hey is that a Troll in your avatar or are you just mooning us?
