Seriously, both agencies teach roughly the same things, though they make a bit different path & approach to get there. The difference in the instructor doing the teaching is more important than which letters are on the course.

The difference is two letters, their basic philosophies/reasons for being, and the number of divers each certifies. I'm simplifying a bit, of course.
