I went to West Palm Beach last weekend (10-1-05) to do a few dives, the ocean was a bit rough so the captain decided not to take us very far. We did two dives, one at 60 foot breakers I believe and the other at the flower gardens. To my dissapointment, both the reefs were relatively flat with low profile, it was in very bad shape too. Not much marine life, saw one turtle but that was it for big animals, no groupers, big snappers or anything. What did I miss, was it just the wrong spots? What happened! I was very dissapointed and bummed.

the area has a lot of that type of reef line at 60 feet deep some are better then others. some times you have to move in or out from the drop point to get on the best parts of the reefs. did the dive master explain what the area was? did they have someone in the water with you leading the group? most of the time they do a good job of that and know the area so you get the best look of what is there. Sorry for the bad trip, we went Saterday the 8th and it was great one wreck and one reef
