I just don't log dives
Friends, let me start out by saying I've done the searches and read a bunch of forum postings and still can't decide...

I'm in Central Florida on business, and have the coming weekend free. Of course, my first choice of activity is to get in the water. So I'm looking for a dive op.

I didn't bring any gear at all, so the op should have good quality rentals, and I'd prefer not to be on a big boat with mainly student divers.

I've bookmarked both Pura Vida and Minnow. But in a regular Google search I also came up with Scuba Club, which looks interesting because they have lodging right there. Anybody have any experience with them?

I'm planning to drag my 75-year old mom along for the ride and want to leave her someplace nice while I'm away on the boat, so that's an issue, too.

Whatever insights you can give, or if anybody's got plans to dive over there this weekend and wouldn't mind a buddy, let me know, please. I'm thinking Friday and Saturday, or Friday and Sunday.

Scuba Club is good in principle but they only do one-tank trips. When I've been with them, they've tended to go repeatedly to sites right outside the inlet for quicker turnaround. With the price of fuel these days, I'm sure it's the same.

Minnow and the other boats out of Riviera Beach Marina are OK but tend to get crowded on weekends. All diving from Palm Beach is drift diving, so you're pretty much stuck with whoever else is on board. Consider going on Friday and maybe Sunday afternoon.
