Just returned from a wonderful vacation in the Sarasota/Venice area.
Finally got to go on a shark tooth dive with Florida West Scuba School
dive shop. Had a great time and recommend diving with them. The owner/captain
Steve was very imformative. My husband and I didn't do too bad for our first trip out. I found a couple of decent size teeth. Just wondering how we should clean
the teeth (besides using a tooth brush and tooth paste, ha ha!) :D ? We were told
to put them in apple cider vinegar, but is there anything else you guys normally do?

Thanks!
Jen

I don't use any chemicals, not even vinegar. I rub them with my thumb, seems to do the trick. If you soak them in vinnegar too long, you'll ruin your finds.

I have soaked teeth for more than 4 days in apple cider vinegar without any damage to the teeth.
Big bannicals and coral you can try to pry off with your finger nail or razor blade after a day or 2.
Just follow up with a fresh water soak for a week, changing the water daily.

Got these Sat. with Florida West. been soaking since and a couple with be going back longer.
