Have an upcoming trip to Tampa later this fall and am thinking about taking a look around Tarpon Springs ... interested in some local feedback on the accommodations, charter operators, dive sites etc.

Since I'll be coming to the area by way of Tampa, Tarpon Springs is an option, but not a requirement. Any Gulf-side suggestions are welcome. Prefer fish-watching over spear-fishing. Thanks!

(Keeping fingers-crossed that WILMA doesn't hit you guys too hard this weekend )

I dove Tarpon Springs once with Narcosis Scuba. Very good operation. Small boat, no crowds and good crew. I highly recommend them. Tarpon Springs is an old Greek sponge diving town so make sure you stop by Hella's Bakery and restaurant for some awesome Greek food.

That's good to hear - I talked to NS a week or so back and got a good impression of them by phone. Appreciate your input!
