I posted this in the Roll Call topic, as well.

Check this out. Its a map that allows you to see where other people (divers in this instance), are located. There's no registering necessary. Kinda cool. Especially if you're not exactly sure where in the state someone is located.

this is cool.. other than putting users on there, it may be cool to have ALL the dive ops and shops on there with contact, website info. (and maybe near by good food places too!) It'll make life MUCH easier for those new to the area. I knew that's the sort of thing I wanted when I just moved in. A visual tool.

by the way, has anyone tried google earth? Kinda similar, but it's based on satelite images and has major cities in 3D graphics.
 
Actually... I just put myself on the map, and my "callout" is a block from my apartment, on the satellite view. Cool.

Doesn't seem to want to accept me.

I also had an initial problem with my zip code. Our current zip changed about 2 yrs ago, so I used my old one and it worked.
It could also be that you didn't leave a shout out. For some reason that is necessary, too.
