Hi everyone,
Going to Panama City next weekend. Anyone know how the beach diving is there. Any suggestions as to where, and what the conditions are like? Any suggestions on a good dive shop?

I't been pretty good offshore considering, water has been 20' to 30'

I like the folks at Hydrospace, but have heard good things about all the shops in town.

You could also hit the jetties at St Andrews as a walk in dive and North of town (if you drive down) Morrison springs is a great dive (and free)

Vortex is right up the road from Morrison and also a good site.

Youronlyone,
The only "beach diving" to be had in PC that is of any interest will be at St. Andrews State Park.
Diving from the beaches anywhere else will provide you with countless miles of nothing but flat, sandy bottom.

You may wish to check the tide charts - High tides are running at night so unless you like cloudy water or diving at night, I think a boat dive might be in your best interest.

We used Hydrospace last weekend (27th-30th). They were great. We only did boat dives so I can't help with beach dives. Visibility at the bridge spans was pretty good but the Black Bart wasn't great.
