Went diving out from keylargo today.. LOTS of wind, choppy chop-chop all the way, poor visibility. Anyway, it was more of a "well, I finally got power back, and also gassed up.. so I GOTTA get wet" kind of a dive. Forecast has it that the winds will weaken from Tuesday. So, if you're going on Monday, just be prepared.

We started off 20 knots NE winds with gusts of 25 knots, 3-5' chops. At the second dive spot, things got a little worse, almost constant 25 knots, 3-5' with occasional 7'! It was extremely tough to navigate with 10' or at times close to 5' viz.

We went to Mike's wreck and South Ledges since the weather basically crossed out all other options.

Anyway, if you're thinking of getting wet this week, think Tuesday or later. Keep checking with NOAA.. if they forecast winds stronger than 20 knots, think twice.
