Trying to find out if anyone has a lead on a motel in Marathon for those dates. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just a simple place to crash when not out diving.

There's a Holiday Inn at MM 54 next to the entrance of Key Colony Beach. They also have an attached dive op (Abyss).

I second that for Key Colony Bay Resort in Marathon. Last summer I stayed there several times and it is a deal. Once booked a room on Orbitz.com for $60.00 a night. The Dive Shop rate is about $90.00 per night. They are really nice people and I have seen divers training in their pool. BTW...this was a Raddison about 8 months ago.
